Hello

Has anyone done a disability assessor nurse role?

I'm looking for something flexible and want to know what the job is like.

I suppose it depends what the background is. Disability assessor nurse for insurance companies/ occupational health services is very different than an assessor for benefits. I am not a nurse but routinely do disability assessments within my role- it can be repetitive but ok. I would never be an assessor for benefit claimants, as all the HCP who I know who have taken on that role have burnt out quickly due to the need to meet targets and deny the nuances of many long term conditions.
