Many public sector admin jobs are now hybrid or remote but they might not shout about it on the ad. I’m public sector and I’ve found through bitter experience not to advertise a job as being remote or home based even though it was as we had hundreds of applicants from all over the world. My team generally wfh and go into the office once a month or very occasionally at other times such as if your laptop fails or for meetings so we still needed someone able to do that. Good luck.

I agree with @Showdogworkingdog, local government have lots of admin type roles that can be done either hybrid or 100% from home. In my department, they're very flexible and leave it to the individual to choose what works, with no enforced office days.
They generally want people local enough though, otherwise it makes it tricky for people to come in for training, IT equipment etc.
I guess that it depends on the person, but I do wonder about the admin staff working 100% from home as there are a much lower number of meetings and other online interactions than at other levels, so I would personally feel a bit out of the loop, but I guess that's what works for them.

Is there an example job listing you could show me so I can see what to look for please

Don't have an example to show you, but most councils have a webpage with all current vacancies which is better to keep up to date with than the mainstream job websites.
In my experience, all the entry level desk-based jobs have the at-home option. There isn't anything in particular to look out for in the description.
