Reasonably-priced qualification in audio-typing?

I'm NHS Band 3 admin at the moment but hoping to be moved into Band 4 positions within the next couple of years.
I'm keen to get an audio-typing qualification under my belt before then as I know many Band 4 admin/secretarial type positions ask for this.
My line manager in current role has said she'd be happy to let me "have a go" at using Big Hand to see how I get on. I'd be really glad of this opportunity but I'm not sure I'd be eligible to get an formal qualification through the NHS, so I imagine it's something I'd have to do in my own time.
I'm just looking for recommendations of online course providers who can offer such courses with qualifications.
I've looked into Pitman Training but it's out of my budget unfortunately.

I was a Band 3 churning out endless audiotranscription OP then moved into Band 4 roles. Never needed a qualification, just had to pick up that particular system. Familiarity with medical terminology and a good listening ear were all I required. BigHand is straightforward enough; I'd take your manager up on that offer, and after that get the NHS to fund any additional training, should it be necessary.

NHS here. We have moved away from audio and it’s now more copy and paste for our Band 4 admin from voice recognition software. You don’t need a formal qualification to progress.

Surely this is something that AI is now doing or at least will be doing soon in most jobs? I wouldn’t waste your money.
take whatever experience you can get from your current job and contacts instead.

Agree, we use dictation software mostly these days.
