Done with remote?!

Not sure what I’m asking here, but I would certainly appreciate some advice on my next move.
I have spent a huge amount of my career in the charity sector, and have reached a senior level in the job I do (think ops type role).
Im 44 now and absolutely sick of it. Sick of the sector for sure, ready for a change, ready for some decent benefits like a pension you can actually retire on! I’ve worked remote since Covid and I even think I’m sick of that too. All day in my house, which was great when the kids were smaller but I’ve only one in secondary now. Have a GP appointment next month as I’m pretty sure I’m peri too. I just feel like maybe the years of what works best for the kids etc are actually passed, and it might do me some good to have something new, with some office days a week?
Not sure what the exam question is here, but all reflections welcome!

I was almost exactly where you are 12 months ago - senior ops position in a not for profit but completely done with it and ready for a change. I now work for the LA. I'm much happier in this role - mix of office days and remote, interesting work, offers of training and good pension. The staff I work with are from a diverse range of backgrounds so it's been apparent that they do look for transferable skills when recruiting. Might be worth a look!

Hi @Anatomical thanks for your reply. Very helpful and I’ll add to my job searching. I actually have an interview on Friday for a civil service role….
