Send TA temporary contract

Recently started work as temp TA linked to a child’s EHCP. Found out through the grapevine at the last minute there is an upcoming training day and am required to attend. I knew nothing about it as temporary staff are not included on any emails from the academy. So wondering if anyone could help? Are temporary staff required to attend all training days when there is no mention of them in their contract? Also is this the norm that you’re not included on any staff comms when on a temporary contract?

At my school you'd be expected to attend any training days that fell on your working days/hours. They'd be a bit miffed if you questioned it I think, as you'd be at work anyway. If it's additional, they would expect support staff to attend but they could claim the overtime.

In terms of the emails, I think everyone so busy they forget new starters aren't signed up to various emails! I'd be proactive and ask if you can be included, even if it's all irrelevant to you, it would reflect well on you :)
