Deputy Registrar Interview

Hey. I have recently left my job and i have applied for the position of Deputy Registrar for births, deaths and marriage. Is anyone currently in this role?
I have been invited to two interviews and they both say there will be a spelling test. One of which i need to pass at 80% or i will not be interviewed.
Can anyone point me in the direction of what to brush up on please. I'm thinking it may be geographical spelling questions but would be so grateful for any help from anyone that is currently doing this role.
Thanks in advance

The role includes completing official documents (birth, marriage certificates for example) which must be 100% accurate so that will include names, places etc.

I've had handwriting tests for this role but never a spelling test.

I would say one of things might be occupations. We record occupations on birth, death and marriage/civil partnership registrations and there are some that people might struggle with.

It hopefully won't be as tricky as you fear. Good luck.

Thank you both for your replies. I hadn't thought of occupations so that makes sense. I think i will focus on those and towns, districts etc.
I'm very nervous so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks a bunch

Something was misspelled and crossed out / rewritten on my birth certificate which is annoying - so it’s a pleasant surprise to hear that this test is involved. Good luck!
