Voluntary redundancy

I've been offered VR on good terms that will give me a good 8 months to find another job...but I've been in my role just 18months, and is exactly where I want to be
If I don't take it, all.may be fine but I'm running the risk of a compulsory scheme down the road and leaving with zero.
To find another role mean potentially relocating, massive upheaval..aagggh
Anyone had similar experience or made the best out of the unwelcome opportunity??

No experience but considering they could let you go with nothing I'd take it - are you likely to get another job in the next 8 months?

Depends how niche the role is but in your position I’d be tempted to take it.
