When shall I Retire

I am 74, working part time in a, supermarket. I enjoy it and all the laughs but all my friends are retired, I wonder if I miss out. DH is chronically sick and doesn't want me stuck in at home.

Your DH has a point.

If you can think of other things that you would like to do, then retire. Life is short so do stuff that you would find fulfilling.

If you don’t have hobbies or a group that you would like to support and work is enough, then stay as you are.

I think you've got the best of both worlds- working part time in a job you enjoy. I'd carry on as you are.

Assuming you don’t absolutely need the money, retire when you’re not enjoying it any more or can’t do it any more.

Thank you. Yup I will put my thinking cap on but this year I will go. I worked through the lock down and was busy in the supermarket then. Some of our colleagues died then. I was lucky. I will go this easter
