Graduate schemes for career changers in their 50s

I've just seen a reply on another thread that mentioned people in their 50s are being recruited onto graduate training schemes.

I'd be really interested to know what type of companies/roles/profiles we are talking about here.

I'm 50, have a MFL degree, am practically bilingual in one of the languages, and often wish I'd gone down this route.

Are there really opportunities available?
