Boundaries with boss

Hi, I'm in a job where I solely have to hit targets that are sometimes entirely unrealistic. Is it appropriate for my boss to be saying to me "you better hope this customer buys as we don't have enough to pay the rent let alone the bills". I find it causes me so much stress and is really overstepping the boundaries? I hit targets every other month but this month as it's December and Christmas etc I can't physically drag in customers from the street!

The company is going bust. Find yourself another job before you find yourself unemployed

I would see it as writing on the wall, and get my resume out there quickly

Quite. I'm not really sure what "boundaries" he's overstepping. He's telling you that if you don't hit targets then the business is likely to go under. Your opinion of the targets is irrelevant. Your opinion won't stop the business going under and you having no job. You need to find another job.
