Been signed off by a doctor. I have handed my notice in. I’m leaving. I had a preexisting commitment to visit my new place of work. But I’m now signed off. What do I do

Depends on your illness really. You're too ill to go into to work and perform your duties so you've been signed off work.
Being signed off doesn't mean you're confined to the house, if you are well enough to visit new workplace there is no issue with this.

it was an injury but the risk is solely at that work place.
