Temporary emergency contract

Name changes but long time poster here. I'm just looking a little bit of advice really. I'm a TA, started in my school in 2020 in the January before Covid broke out. I've never been made permanent even though my job is needed and many other TAs have joined after me (also emergency cover) I've never actually signed a contract but legally do I have any rights if I'm there almost 5 years? I adore my job so much and I get so much satisfaction but I feel that Tesco/ McDonald's or any high street name wouldn't keep someone hanging on like this. The last person to be made permanent was 10 yr ago. I would just like the security of knowing my job is safe. Any advice welcome
