Recently started a new role at a dental clinic as a treatment coordinator, coming from a non dental background it’s a big change. I was told during my interview that a lot of people that work there (practice manager, receptionists) were not from dental backgrounds either so that kinda put myself at ease. However I’ve come in and been shoved in an office, first 3 weeks I was just training myself watching videos and reading thru document after document. After that got sent to another clinic to see another TCO who showed me nothing, then had “training” with 2 new TCOs and the trainee who was just going through documents. Not showing us how to use the systems or actually meet the KPIs or targets. The dentist are in their own world and are not fussed about money, and I’m literally left to myself in an office and told to get the job done. Abit confused as to what to do.
