Does anyone know if you can received a retainer fee while on maternity allowance?
I currently work full time with an employer and have a retainer fee contract for another. I plan for take the year off but didn’t qualify for SMP with my employer (I started there 16 weeks pregnant) so had to apply for MA.
I plan to continue to receive my retainer fee from the other company to top up the maternity allowance, but information is confusing as to whether I can or not?
Don't understand why SMP has much for flexibility for topping up?
