Dilemma: Following My Passion or Staying Secure?
I've recently qualified as a gym instructor, a milestone that fills me with excitement and pride. However, I've been working as a GP receptionist for the past six months, and while this job provides a sense of security, it doesn't ignite the same passion in me as fitness does.
I'm currently in my probation period at the GP practice, and I'm torn between the stability of my current role and the desire to pursue my true passion in fitness. The thought of leaving a secure job makes me nervous, especially considering the uncertainties that come with starting a new career. Yet, my heart is in fitness, and I can't help but wonder if I should take the leap and follow my passion.
Do I stay in my current role for the sake of security, or do I take a chance and pursue a career that truly excites me?

Can you do both for a bit while you build up as a gym instructor.

Doing what you love for a job is incredible. It’s life changing. No work dread, and particularly with something like gym you’ll be making people feel good, see the results of your work, and people generally leave happy because of the hormones. You’d set your own hours. Honestly it’s such a positive lifestyle change. Hard graft though if totally self employed! Nice to have some form of colleague to stop the self doubt and loneliness.
