Primary school teachers!

Any primary school teachers here..

I'm currently a Tax Advisor for one of the big 4. Salary is good enough and flexibility is great. However... I feel like I'm in a job where I don't feel like I'm achieving something personally. I studied to become a Chartered Accountant but I still feel like it's not something for me deep down. I'm in my late 20s and I'd love to find a job that makes me happy and feel rewarded..

I've been thinking about teaching for a few years but not put a lot of thought into it. But today, I'm taking the step to understand the training process and what it will be like to be a teacher (specially primary).

If there are any primary school teachers here, or teachers in general, I want to ask what are the pros and cons in your opinion of your job.. thanks!

I suggest you find The Staff Room section and have a good look through those threads. You will find a reasonable example of real life stresses and strains as well as the good bits and you'll find similar threads that go into detail on training.

Then you need to arrange a couple (at least) of work experience days to see what it is like working in a school.

Ah thank you I didn't know that existed! I'll have a look on there
