How do you earn money remotely?

Fashionista22 · 27/11/2024 11:38

I've worked freelance creating content for brands for years but over the past few years it's been really hard to find any work as brands seem to be cutting back on budgets.

During this time I've been looking for various roles I can do remotely but not found much at all.

I'm finding it hard scraping by every month. Does anyone have suggestions of other types of work I can look into, other than content creation/photography, that I could do remotely?

TIA

Loads of jobs in the charitable sector are now fully remote or hybrid . Not always the best paid but for me life/work balance makes this worth the pay cut.

Charityjobs.co.uk currently showing 181 remote roles and 971 hybrid/remote and if you add keyword content this is still a fairly decent 212 jobs so you wouldn't necessarily need to go entry level

I am a freelance journalist and was struggling to earn the cash I needed. That's an understatement tbh! My industry is unfortunately dying, there is no money in it, fellow journalists are turning to copywriting but even that is dying due to AI.

You need to become more entrepreneurial and find something to sell. Something also that can be quite residual and not need to exchange money for time. I signed up a mini franchise travel business that sets you up as an independent travel agent so you can earn commission booking travel for people and also has a network marketing side so you can add people to the business and get further commission. I can do it from anywhere. Technically I can't just swan off to Asia (which I could!) because I am a single mum with two kids at school who want to stay here, but it does mean I can work from home/a coffee shop/do the pick ups etc.

Travel is my thing, it's not going to be everyone's. But I would say find something to sell, there are plenty of ways to do this online now. A lot of people are sceptical about network marketing as was I before but actually there are some models that are really really good and allow you to set up your own business for a really low cost.

Graphic design. And I have to be very entrepreneurial, very very, and lower prices to over half of what he product is actually worth. I have a degree in the subject.
