Senior Leadership Interview

I have an interview next week for a senior leadership role in the Public Service and it would be life changing for me from financial point of view! I am really doubting myself, has anyone got any tips when they were in a similar position and holding nerve during interview?

I have done really well in past interviews and didn’t feel as nervous as I do now.

I wish you the best of luck!

Call me cynical but google male vs female interviewing. It looks to make a difference. Best to be prepared.

And remember, you have the interview because people know you can do the job. Let us know how you go.

Try to be calm and confident. In the private sector, the more senior the leadership position, the more important ‘personality fit’ becomes. What I mean is that all candidates applying for the role will have a wealth of experience so they will be looking for the person that they think will be the best fit for the company. Good luck!

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Be yourself. YouTube has some Sr leadership interviews tips.

The key with senior leadership is delivering through others, make it clear how you achieve that, try not to focus too much on what you do to get stuff done, but what you do to get other people to get stuff done!

Can you do some mock interviews to practice?

FairiesareReal1 · 26/11/2024 22:32

Thanks for all the tips, I agree it’s all about fit and leadership through others, it’s just a matter of articulating my key experience and holding my nerve! and showing confidence to lead at the top level.

I am generally very confident in interviews not sure why I’m douting myself so much this time!

I'm sure you'll be great OP. Have you got a mentor or someone the next grade up to chat through with and maybe do a mock interview? That was invaluable for me.
