Misleading Job Advert

Hi, I recently left a job of 16 years working for an amazing charity to work for a local council. I was attracted to the advert which listed their family friendly work policies around flexible and homeworking.
At the interview I was advised that I could work from home one day a week. I accepted the post and 3 weeks in, the work from home day has been removed. As a team we were not consulted or given any notice. It is a front line service but there is a good buddy system to cover the work from home day. I didn't realise that the wfh day was an informal arrangement, this was not mentioned at the interview.
I feel completely mislead and would not have taken the job had I known this was going to happen
My colleagues and i as a group have appealed the decision and I have put in a formal flexible working request.
Is there anything else I can do? Do I have any other recourse. I am really enjoying the job but after working from home for 14 years, really struggling with going into a place of work every day and the impact this is having on my time
