Im a fully qualified nail technician of almost 20 years. I took a (long) break being a SAHM and now am ready to get back into it now the kids are more than settled in full time school.

To be able to accommodate school holidays etc I decided that I'll be working from home having made myself a little makeshift "salon"

I've been doing the practice on friends/family, did a refresher course to bring myself up to scratch and got all the gear and kit... aaannd I've hit a wall 🙈

How can I attract enough new clients to make this a viable work option for me?

I've advertised since September on all the local facebook pages, lots of new client offers and I'm not charging too much - by a long shot.

I've only managed to get a few clients - they all have come back and are really happy with the service but to make this work long term I need more.

Any advice for advertising and getting new clients?

I’ve found new nail salons through word of mouth or instagram. If it’s a service I don’t regularly use then I would go to fresha first to find options and available appointments.

Word of mouth here is also the norm. Prices also vary too.

I currently pay £22 plus extra for nail art but I know some friends pay anything up to £40.

Good luck
