Help with sick pay anyone?

I am expecting to be off around 8-12 weeks due to an accident.
I am PT, 3 days a week. Paid on 23rd of each month. I had accident on 24th, so one day after payday.
My contract states '1 month full pay' but my manager has said '4 weeks full pay'. Subsequent months half pay.
Being paid on 23rd doesn't equal 4 weekly pay does it?
I am going to question whether manager meant 1 month or 4 weeks. When can I expect my sick pay to run out, if I am correct, I should be paid November in full (full monthly amount not 4 weekly?) and then half my pay, depending if I take a full month off in December, what if I go back say 2 weeks into the month, so I could have however many weeks 1/2 pay and then surely starts as normal from X date I go back?
Never had any sickness time off before and my work are notorious for payment errors and confusing staff and themselves! Thanks

You may want to check whether sick pay is calculated on a rolling year or a calendar year. Typically it's a rolling year so you'd need to count any sick days you've already had counting back a year from the first day of your new sickness. They should minus off any sick days you've already had in that year. Yes starts normal from the day you go back. If you take any subsequent sick days, assuming it's a rolling year system, the same would apply to your entitlement. It would be worth knowing how many half pay days you're entitled to as well as you won't want to randomly drop to nil pay.
