Feedback requested by my manager

What do I say! The person came in new in the door and put me on a PIP. They have been magnifying small issues, not engaging with the business but pushing their tasks down saying everyone else is accountable except my manager and has not got to understand my group which is a new area of expertise for them. There is zero support totally believing what other functions and junior people say and they are a complete car crash. There is no trust at all and they are creating a real toxic environment. I feel I need this person to hear some of these bits of feedback. WWYD?

? Why can’t you just share the feedback you’ve shared here?

I sure as hell wouldn't be engaging in providing feedback and would double down on finding a new job!

Can you flip that around to be a list of positive things that they need to do e.g. focus on strategic level and doing y to manage their accountabilities for x, invest time understanding your area, consult team members on x issues. As far as possible make the same points but in a more constructive way.

What's the format of the feedback and for what purpose? Who's going to see it?

You could definitely reframe some of it - talking about needing to trust your experience and expertise more rather than mentioning micromanagement.

Find a new job. These sorts of issues don't get fixed. If you think the feedback is going to help you, write it. If going to come back on you and cause more problems then don't bother and just try and leave asap.
