How were you treated if ever on a PIP? have a manager who is nice as pie saying how great you’re doing but then sends documentation emails the next. A real Jekyll and Hyde and seems to magnify small things that everything I am doing is massive when it truly isn’t (eg made a massive issue of an audit finding that was classed as minor that is a company wide issue not due to my dept yet you could make an analogy with something similar that I have done. I made a plan of how I would sort it yet it doesn’t seem to be enough. There is company wide training to be created yet it’s this massive issue). I said something in a meeting and then she starts sending feedback re how I phrase my words (my manager has never managed global teams and seemed to have taken a dislike to us in the UK) and sends me tons of actions to follow up in my next one to one. My manager keeps offering support but frankly they don’t know my area of expertise so I’m struggling to see where they can and frankly it seems only lip service to me as when I ask them what their suggestions are - nada! Radio silence. This person was new in the job and doesn’t understand I have other stuff to do that is really important. I feel I’m being managed out rather than my manager wanting me to be successful by sending crappy documentation emails about trivial stuff. Anyone been in similar situation! I’ve had to reply to her documentation emails as they have been blatantly inaccurate to stand up for myself but gives manager more crap to beat me up with. ! Would you keep doing that or just give up. Am looking for other jobs but the market is slow. Its exhausting
