Newish job ( 6 months) toxic culture. Would you stick it out or search for something else? I can't divuldge too much as outing.

Honestly? I would start looking. In my experience, the vibe you get is often the right one. Unless you absolutely love the job and can ignore it. (I couldn't!) You could also try and find a non toxic friend to keep you sane in the meantime- there's hopefully one hiding there that feels the same as you, you just have to seek them out!

Yep, it is unlikely to get better. If you start looking now perhaps you'll be able to take the time to make sure your next move is a good one. If you wait until it becomes unbearable then you might not be able to.

If you go there will be trouble, but if you stay there will be double.

malificent7 · 23/10/2024 20:19

Quite.
The culture has neen described as" vile" by some.
Lots of back stabbing...noone can tell anything to each others face, fraud etc.

Yah look for something else

Flipzandchipz · 27/10/2024 21:22

Been there OP. Realised 10 weeks in it was absolutely toxic. Started looking and interviewed and was successful in another role. Negotiated an earlier notice period. Been at my new role just over a year and couldn’t be happier.

TylerD · 12/11/2024 13:45

So come on and let me know, did you stay or did you go?

Singleandproud · 12/11/2024 13:49

I would do 6 months minimum and then move on. You've done that so I'd start applying now. The new financial year looms so keep in mind recruitment might slow until May in some places.
