ive been talking to a hiring manager who I really get on well with. He encouraged me to go for a job in his team and was very positive. I secured an interview. I should say it’s in a corporate company so there is a formality of the integrity process. I’m fairly senior too. I had the interview but if being honest don’t feel it was my best. I’ll find out later this week what’s happening. Now, I do get on with the hiring manager and we have good rapport. He texted me yesterday (the night of the interview) at 9pm to say thanks for coming in to interview. I’m going to know in a matter of days if I got the job or not but in my mind I’m thinking … he’s messaging me to be polite (albeit quite late at night), as either a) he knows my chances are not good and is prepping me to let me down as we do get on and also wanted to check in b) hes just being nice and don’t read into it
