Flexible working revoked

Hope everyone is having a nice Monday. I returned from mat leave and had had it agreed I work a certain number of days at home and rest in office. This is now being potentially revoked as ‘other mothers appear to manage’

im a bit confused as this was formally agreed by
management on multiple occassions. Does anyone know what the rules are? Can flexible working be revoked at anytime and surely a one size fits all approach should not be taken ie other people are doing it so you should to.. they have no idea what my situation is and why this is potentially needed.
im a little bit shocked by the comments and how final this seems to be without any meetings between myself and HR.

Would like to add I’m part of a global team with the vast majority I work with work in a whole other country. Further I always have met the days I agreed making up days if on holidays etc. also fully understand I am very lucky that I can work from home in my role.

thanks all!

Was it done through a flexible working request? I thinking it was agreed through the correct process and it wasn’t stated that it was for a fixed period only, that it is now your contract and cannot simply be revoked.

but I’m not an employment lawyer, that’s just my understanding.

Id ring ACAS for advice.

You say “potentially revoked”. I would start by arranging a meeting/conference call with your manager and HR.

Make sure you have the original confirmation with you along with a copy of the flexible working policy.

Then establish the facts, don’t assume what you have been told is correct.
