I’ve just been offered a pastoral position in a school - yay!! But what are the girlies wearing for work?? Shoes particularly, but outfit inspo will be greatly appreciated

The answer very much depends on the school.

I've been at one school where the pastoral leads wear DMs or converse mostly - leggings and a jumper type clothes. Another where all staff are expected in strict business wear to include a blazer. My current school has toned-down business wear (cardigans are ok, for example), mostly leather 'school shoes' or boots at the moment.

At my school it’s no denim, no trainers, smart office wear but not overly formal. Think trousers, top and cardi rather than suit.
Definitely flat shoes, if you’re pastoral you’re going to be running after kids!
