Change of career path - CV help

I’m wanting to make a move into project management, I’ve been working in Comms & Events and think there’s a lot of cross over skills, and I’ve done a workplace PM apprenticeship & found a mentor who agrees they think I could definitely make the transition and let me join in some useful internal forums for project management.

I’ve seen a role I want to apply for, but annoyingly in this situation they only want a CV, no covering letter or statement where I can spell out all the personal development I’ve been doing easily! In a statement I could add all this and explain more easily the transferable skills but I’m a bit stuck how to do it in a CV…

Would adding this detail into a personal statement at the start of the CV sound ok? Is there a better way? Any ideas welcomed!

Yes, add a short intro/expanatory paragraph at the start of your CV.

Also, layout your CV so as to highlight your transferable skills.
