I worked in an airport before and honestly worst experience ever. Managers didn't care, unexpected overtime (i.e. fishing a boarding called to managers to say you finish your rota and be sent two other boarding (1h each) without possibility to be sent home) customers over rude, whatever happens to get to the airport (in my case I was using public transport, so delays, cancelled trains, etc) it's your fault on your manager's eyes, and obviously stressful 24/7 on peak season. I just work for 6 months (June - November) and I had more than enough. And rotas, everyday was different. There where days when you were working 4am -6 am, following day maybe 12pm - 17pm and other days you got 10am -18pm and following day 4 am - 12pm. Just enough time to go home, eat, sleep and be back.

I have to say that each airport and company varies. I worked at a big airport with a big company and the airport was operative 22h per day. From 2am to 4am it did not have any flights. So you could be working up to 2am perfectly.

I don't have good memories of working there and I would never be back (good salary but to me didn't compensate)

However, your experience and other people's can be completely different. That's just mine. 😉😊
