Nursery teachers- what do you wear to work?!

Just that really..
I've mostly worked in KS1 so smart casual (dresses, trousers, a nice blouse etc) but I have just got a new job as a nursery teacher.

At my previous school the nursery staff all wore converse/leggings which makes sense, I'm just going to be covered in snot and paint !

Has anyone got any outfit inspiration?!

Thanks 😄

Things that can easily be washed. Clothes you can bend over in and not reveal everything- no low necks or short dresses except with leggings under. Comfortable trousers - not too tight. I like wearing dresses so I did. Layers because you'll be outside and inside. Comfy shoes because you'll hardly ever sit down.

Top tip: to remove paint pre-treat with cold water and soap (vanish or toilet soap). Never use a hot wash.

The teachers at my DC's nursery school definitely dress more like "teachers" than "nursery staff" iykwim, so I would just start out with your current wardrobe and see what the others are wearing.

I wear dresses and leggings , or jeans and tops as we do forest school and also have an afternoon outside each week.

I don't have things just for school but if I don't mind it getting dirty it's ok for school! We also can wear school hoodies and polo shirts if we wish

stretchy but smart black trousers, button up shirt but not a smart white one.More like a comfy loose one .Like i have a cotton one thats dark blue its not for like interviews but its smart casual

Stuff thats comfy looks a bit smart but hides the dirt or stuff your gonna get covered in.Comfy yet smart shoes

I wear trainers with all my outfits, as everyday I'm doing over 10k steps at work

Thank you everyone, I definitely need to invest in some comfy shoes, just not sure what style!

DR Martens were comfy and kept my feet warm outside.
