Education to sales?

As the title says really,

Has anyone gone from education into sales? How did you find it? Did you miss education? Did you love sales? Did you regret it?

I'm super confused on what to do and would love to hear from others who have made the jump.

Thank you

I'm about to leave teaching, I'm going next July at age 56 and am also trying to think about what to do.

I only want a part time job not a new career as such and pretty much up for anything as long as it's not in education.

@BG2015 teaching is so brutal at the moment I've lost all passion for it and I'm willing to give anything else a go right now!

I hope you manage to find something that will make you happy! Flowers

No experience of teaching. Can only say sales is relentless. Used to work for a well known Ed tech firm who often hired teachers as consultants- might be an in between?

Education to sales is a good switch if you stay within the sector. Your experience will make you very relatable to your customers, you'll have a good insight into sector needs and challenges etc

What are you selling?

Unlike pp I wouldn't dream of being in education sales; state schools have no money and private schools are just about to lose a lot more of theirs.
