Second job during Mat leave

Would I be able to start a second job during the unpaid part of my maternity leave? For context my original job is a 0 hour contract and I believe I would normally be allowed two jobs. Would starting somewhere new mean I have to go back to original job early?

If you start a completely new job then your maternity leave and pay would end. If you were already employed in a 2nd job then you could work there while being off on leave from the 1st job. As far as I know you could work on a self employed basis during maternity leave from your current employer.
