Can I do a Kit day when on statutory mat pay

Can I go back to work for a kit day if I'm on statutory maternity pay? I had only been with the company 2 months before I went on maternity so I didn't qualify for them to pay me Mat pay so I claim government statutory mat pay, but I understand I can go back to work for 10 day kit?

So you're getting maternity allowance?
You and your employer need to agree to any KIT days. You might be better saving them for an unpaid part of your leave and do find out what you will get paid for them too.
