I currently work in a school part time (3 days a week) i reduced my days when having children. My eldest is now in school full time, my youngest currently gets 15 hours funded. She is in nursery 1 full day and half a day. (she could be there 2 full days) my mum has her the other days

I was considering working an extra day and I would send her to nursery for the day instead of the few hours she does.

If i returned the extra day, i was thinking of reducing my hours, but unsure if I would then be worse of (my brain isn't mathing well at the moment 😂)

my currents hours are 8.30 - 4.20pm 3 days a week

I was thinking of doing 4 days a week 8.30- 3.45 or 3.50. the reason I would need to reduce these hours is so I can still collect my child from nursery

will i be much better of by doing this extra day if im reducing the hours a little each day?

its not clear how many hours you’re actually paid for in a day, but assuming a 30 min unpaid lunchbreak you’re currently doing 7.3333 hours a day or 22 hours a week. Your new hours would be 6.75 hours a day or 27 hours a week. So you’d be 5 hours a week better off.
