As the title says I have 2 interviews next week and waiting to hear back from some jobs that have recently closed. Really excited little nervous.

Can someone please handhold, anyone with recent interviews or coming up 😊

Good luck NurseMummy!

Few tips

  1. Remind yourself, that the interview will be on the easiest subject ever - YOU - so try to relax and enjoy it.

  2. Take a deep breath and speak slowly and carefully with a considered tone. It automatically gives you gravitas. It might seem slow in your head as you are talking, but it may not be as slow as you think. You can practise this by recording your voice and replaying it.

  3. Go over your job description and aim to answer any questions where you can prove you meet the skills required. A lot of interviewers will tick against it

  4. If there are any questions you are unsure of, ask them to explain it further, or say 'what specifically do you want to know about'. Eg Q - tell me what yourself?
A: what specifically would you like to know about me - about my most recent experience, my last job, my personality etc etc

  5. Smile!

  6. If they ask you have you got any questions, and you can't think of any - few suggestions are to ask what are the next steps, was there any answers you have already given they would like to know more about. (it will be your second chance over a difficult question)!

Glad to hear that your interview went well. That is always a great sign as it shows you did the best you could. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is good news next week!
