Sick leave and references

I have been signed off sick for a month and am due to return back to work on 4th October.
i have been offered a job subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. A reference has been requested and one of the questions is how many sick days and how many episodes. My manager has added the sick days up to 4th October.
Is that correct? If I am currently off sick should it not be from the date I was signed off until today

Hey there, @CheeryLemonHare, I noticed you were redirected to start your own thread.

Just bumping this for you, in case anyone can advise.

As per response on the other thread, it would usually be up to the date of response but your manager seems to want to send your new employer a message.

however, it’s accurate, so they aren’t technically doing anything wrong.

Will you still be employed by current company on 4th October? If so then its factual that you have had that many sick days whilst working for the company so I dont think they are wrong.

Well they answered the question they were asked?

Lots of good luck for the new job, @CheeryLemonHare . I hope all goes well despite the sick leave issue.
