Hi,

I've spent the last 5 years being a sahm and have done the odd bit of work from home for pennies. Have been applying like mad for decent p/t roles but they seem to be few and far between or are utter crap.

I was thinking of going f/t and having a career change. DH is supportive and has said if the right position cam along he would cut back in his role to enable me to pursue something.

Just wondered if anyone else had embarked on this kind of plan? Is 30 too late to start a career?

Hi there. I had a job until I had my son who is nearly 12. I stayed at home until my daughter started school. She is now just turned 8. I got a great job working 9.30am to 2.30pm. My husband works away from home so it was important for me to be there for the kids. I'm 30 next month so its not too late. If you set your mind to something and you've got support from partner etc give it a go. We're trying for baby number 3 and this time I will go back to my job. We don't need the money but I like being myself and not someones mum for a few hours a day! It's also nice to feel like you are putting money in the pot too.

I'm hoping 43 isn't too late!

I'm early thirties and hoping to career change after next baby reaches toddlerhood.
