Help me find the right job!

Job ideas please.

Preferably something with either a zero hours contract OR something that allows me to work remotely for 2-3 days per week. Flexibility is important. Happy to work weekends sometimes.

I would love to not be chained to a desk and staring at a screen the whole day – I’m much happier up on my feet and moving about, maybe outdoors even. I am good with people, but I cannot do customer facing roles for a full 8 hours a day because it’s exhausting – it makes me hate the general public and want to hibernate all evening!!

Currently making just over £30k so can’t really go less than that (unless I find something walking distance from home and can save on tube fares).

I don’t have a degree. I do have lots of experience in hospitality, retail, waitressing etc. but for the past year I’ve been working in a corporate office environment doing admin and reception work. Have never been in a position of management, and frankly the idea of being in any kind of leadership role scares me.

My big problem is that when I’m looking at job descriptions on recruitment websites, I don’t have the faintest idea what they’re talking about most of the time. I read it all twice and I’m still none the wiser as to what the role actually entails, even if it’s well within my salary expectations.

I’m hoping someone out there will be able to say “this is what I do, it ticks all/most of your boxes, here is the job title and description” so that I can search for something similar and actually understand what I’m applying for.

Anyway… help please!!
