I have had a grievance made against me in malice by a colleague I manage. It was 8 sides long and consisted of lies, things taken out of context, omissions and things that did not relate to the woman in question but her partner (who I also manage - nightmare).
Boss (doesn't do things by the book - public sector) has told me it doesn't stand up but I think will uphold some of it. I am furious. I can't find a definitive answer on whether or not I have a right to see the report that has been written (I don't think it has been, though my pages of evidence have been looked at).
Boss keeps saying that 'the trouble is' this person really believes the things she has written and therefore it can't be proven either way as it's her perception. I think he means that even though I have provided emails etc she still 'feels' bullied so she kind of has been??? Is this right?
I know he shouldn't be speaking to me this way but he is. What can I do - I think he is going to try and conclude it soon.
