My husband started working for a company in April after being self-employed for over 25 years. Probation period 3 months 38 hours per week. He has been stressed working long hours. Training has been terrible. No one to ones to discuss how they thought he was getting on. No probation interview. He had a meeting yesterday to be told that they don't think the role is for him. However, they offered him a new role but obviously less money. Any ways i was looking for jobs for him and they advertised his job 2 days ago!! I feel so sad for him.

Probation should have ended in July, if they didn't say on or before the 3 month deadline then he is right to beleive he's passed his probation.
He could say he's not accepting the lesser paid job but in the real world he's in a difficult position, best to find another job and leave, they sound terrible.

He has handed in his notice. Honestly he has been so miserable last few months. He is hard worker . Their loss!! They said he had adequate training. No he didn't. The last guy left for the same reason.
