NHS Job Expectations

I work in a nhs corporate management role (8x) at present. I've previously had really stretching roles which had been challenging but enjoyable.

I applied to this most recent job a few years ago as I already did some work for the director as it seemed a good fit. I did the role for 9 months and then went on maternity leave. On return I've found that this job really isn't what was sold to me, when I started the role it was new so didn't feel like so must drudgery, but now... I'm doing 50% of what I would consider admin (meeting booking, venue booking). The programme of work is complex and I'm happy to help with most things but it's getting out of hand and not helping my development.

The current problem is.. I'm pregnant and need to tell my manager. Do I mention about my disappointment with the role or just wait it out and find a new role for after maternity?

Thanks!

Wait it out!
It doesn’t sound difficult for you and frankly that’s ideal during pregnancy.
Focus on your career when you get back.
