Hi All,I started a new job a few months ago and was asked to fill out a confidential medical questionnaire which was followed up with a OH call. I have a couple of medical conditions, one I’m still waiting for full diagnosis of but for which I’m quite private about and still coming to terms with.

I read online that I should disclose this but was of the understanding the OH couldn’t pass this on to the company, only the reasonable adjustments needed. This was outlined in the documents.

Anyway, OH did send all the details to HR. More than anything I’m slightly mortified that people I don’t know know about this but I’m also worried about discrimination.

What would you do?

At my work you have to give permission for OH to share your medical information with HR. The idea being that they can make reasonable adjustments. But if you decline to share then they would be in breach of GDPR if they gave the information to HR.
