Help please to calculate my day/hour rate from annual salary - Education

Hi Vipers, hoping for some help please as my brain has gone to mush.

I'm trying to work out my day rate/hourly rate from my annual salary as I am going to be doing some overtime. Per contract I am required to work term time only plus 1 week - so 39 weeks.

So is my calculation:

30000 (example salary) / (39*5) - to give day rate of £154

or is it

30000 / (52.4*5) - gives day rate of £115

(I am also part-time (3 standard day each term time week) but I dont think that is relevant as the overtime days are just full one-off days)

Many thanks for any help.

£30,000/39 weeks = £769.24p a week
Divide that by how many days you work in a week, to get your daily rate.

Is your salary an annual or prorated salary? Do you get paid holiday which you have to take in school holidays? That makes a difference.
