Is anyone here familiar with the employment process at the NHS Commission? I recently had a successful interview, but the process seems to be very different from that of the NHS Trust where I have long worked. It is taking a long time to obtain a contract with a start date, which is dependent on Workforce team[as I am told]. May I ask, once all employment checks are done, is there much more that the workforce team is left with if you have already provided your availability dates?
Also, how long does it take to get the IT equipment?
Comparing it with NHS trust processes, it's all new and seems slow - which I wouldn't have thought since I thought it was the same as NHS - correct me if I'm wrong?
I'm just wondering because, in the NHS Trusts I've worked for, once you provide your start date, you typically receive a contract nearly within a day and working tools(laptop etc)
May I also ask if anyone here is working for the NHS commission that has claimed their NHS CSD? How long did it take them?At this rate, I would rather sort this out while inside the job rather than outside,
