Remote jobs for a teacher that is trying to leave teaching?

Any ex teachers who have managed to secure a hybrid or fully remote jobs? What are those jobs?

I need some ideas, most jobs want lots of experience in other things.

If it's the work from home part you want and you would still be happy teaching, online schools are growing and many of them now have quite decent salaries - typically a little less than mainstream scale but weigh up the lack of commuting costs and work-life balance and it's not bad at all.

Main ones to follow on TES jobs alerts and LinkedIn in no particular order:

Minerva's Virtual Academy
Kings Interhigh
Academy 21
Sophia High School

These ones are all 'proper schools' and I think they are all now DfE accredited through the OEAS. However there are many more smaller schools too which could be a way to get a foot in the door in this sector and see if it's for you.

I work in one of the above and it's changed my life hugely for the better. There are still the typical busy times when I work beyond my hours but I no longer have a commute or significant behaviour issues to deal with.

as a maths teacher @Sheenane08 you are in a strong position to find work from home. I I don’t think I’ve seen any maths jobs pop up at these schools for a few months, however I know a few maths teachers who have been snapped up by smaller online schools and tutor agencies - high demand in your subject. You might have to accept it will be on a self employed basis at least initially though but it’s very doable to make a decent living from home with your subject.
