Do you add voluntary work to your CV?

I've been out of the job market since losing my job due to covid in 2020.

Now the both the kids are going to be in school FT from September, I thought it time to get back to work.

The only thing I've done since then is volunteering on the school PTA, I run it, have put on fundraising events etc, would you put that on a CV or not?

I feel like I'm so out of touch with CV writing, interviewing etc that I'm finding the whole process a bit daunting. I haven't had a job interview since 2009!

mention is very briefly yes

but absolutely do not labour the point

Yes!

Depending on what you're applying for you can split your experience into relevant and other.

I'm a job coach in Denmark and this strategy works very well for newly graduated social workers.

Thank you.

I was just going to put the dates, role and something like

"Volunteering and co-ordinating with other parents and suppliers to organise fund raising events throughout the school year."

So definitely not a monologue!
