Role at risk and pregnant!

Hello, I am after some stories or positive outcomes of anyone that has been in a similar situation but I am at risk of redundancy and due to go on mat leave soon. I work for a rather large marketing agency and my role has been put at risk due to client pulling back business. I had a meeting with HR and due to laws that came in place I am protected and should be placed in a similar position role - they have said they are going to do this after I am due back. I feel grateful for the protection but really anxious to go back to a role I don’t know, whole new team. I know why they are waiting until I am back but tbh I would have preferred to be put into a role now and do it for a few months so at least I know what I am coming back to. I feel like I am not going to he able to relax and feel so anxious about returning. Also seems like there is nothing I can do.

You can't stress over things you can't control.

If they made you redundant, you would've had to learn a new role anyway. I think just be grateful you have a job to come back to, and try to be excited for your new role!

That sounds tough, marketing is stalling at the moment I would prepare for a business restructure or folding if I was you.

Get your CV, linked in, client testimonials all ready.

Thank you. I wanted to contact Pregnant then Screwed but they are closed until the 30th September. Acas were helpful, I was looking for stories where a similar thing has happened and how it worked out in the end.
