First time interviewing someone - any advice?

I'm the 2nd stage interviewer, as a peer/SME. This role will sit in my team, I won't have any direct reporting responsibilities. I have a list of competencies to cover, so I know what to ask but it's more about how to conduct the interview itself. I want the experience to feel thoughtful and friendly from the interviewee's perspective. If you could offer one or two suggestions, what could I do to make this as good an experience possible for them? Thank you.
