Will maternity pay still be the same?

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have recently applied to change branches in work. My employer doesn't yet know I'm pregnant. I'm guessing all my maternity rights will still be the same? Does anybody know if this is the case? I will be getting a new contract but same job role in a different branch with more hours

In the NHS if you move trusts your mat pay is affected so you would need to find your maternity policy to be sure.

It depends on the company structure. If your pay is still coming frim the same source you will have continuity of employment. If it's organised as franchises and the other branch is actually a different business under the same branding umbrella. You can ask without mentioning your pregnancy because other employment rights kick in after 2 years under the same employer. You can ask HR "I know this is probably nothing to worry about but I just want to make sure I know either way because some protections only start when you've been employed for 2 years - does moving branches count as moving employers or is there continuity of service because we're all one company?"
