Hi was just wondering if anyone can help or have been in the same situation as me. So I'm currently on maternity leave and due to go back in November, I have since found out I'm pregnant again and due a baby in February. Can you have two lots of Matt leave one after the other? Thank you

Yes, but you might not get maternity pay.

"You can go on maternity leave again if you get pregnant while you’re already on maternity leave. You don’t need to go back to work between your pregnancies.

You’ll need to check whether you can get maternity pay a second time, but apart from that you have the same rights as during your first pregnancy. The rules on giving notice and starting your leave stay the same:

you’ll need to give notice to your employer 15 weeks before your due date

you can start your maternity leave from 11 weeks before your due date"

As your statutory maternity pay is based on your pay during weeks 17-25 of pregnancy it depends whether you are getting paid anything at that point.

If you don't qualify for SMP you may be able to claim Maternity Allowance instead
